Day
01 - 31st January
Delhi/Calcutta-Dibrugarh-Roing: Assistance on arrival and drive to
Roing (160 km) through the tea gardens of Upper Assam and cross the river
Lohit by country boat in the backdrop of enchanting Himalayas. Overnight at
Eje Breeze Tower/ Lake Resort. Overnight Roing.
Day 02 - 1st February
Roing: After breakfast drive to Rehko, the main venue to attend the
Inaugural Ceremony of REH FESTIVAL. On arrival at Rehko, traditional welcome
accorded to the guests. Remain in the Rehko premises and participate in
various traditional sports and other entertainment activities until
lunchtime. Post lunch; visit Rehko to rejoin the celebration. In the
evening, visit some of the villages and join in the traditional dances.
Dinner and overnight Roing.
Day 03 - 2nd February
Roing: After breakfast drive to nearby villages and participate in
the celebration of the festival. Return to Roing after joining them in the
village community feast. Post lunch, visit local market or at leisure.
Evening campfire followed by dinner. Overnight Roing.
Day 04 - 3rd February
Roing-Pasighat: Morning drive to Pasighat (150 km 8hrs). Enroute
visit tribal villages. Overnight Hotel Oman or Circuit House, Pasighat.
Day 05 - 4th February
Pasighat-Along: Morning drive to Along (100 km, 6hrs drive). Post
lunch visit the Adi (Galong) Tribal villages. Overnight Hotel Holiday
Cottage or Hotel Anchal Bhawan, Along.
Day 06 - 5th February
Along-Raga: Morning drive to Raga (260 km, 8hrs drive). Overnight
Inspection Bunglow, Raga.
Day
07 - 6th February
Raga-Ziro: Full day at Boori boat festival of Hillmiri tribe,
Evening dive to Ziro. Overnight Hotel Blue, Pine.
Day 08 - 7th February
Ziro: Full day explore Apatani tribal villages, like
Hong-Dibbo-Hija-Bulla-Hari etc. The uniqueness of Apatani tribe is tooting
on women face and its nose plug. You may visit museum, emporium and local
market. Apatani, like other tribes also believe in sun and the moon as a god
and have traditional altar in there home made up of Bamboo and Cane.
Overnight at Ziro.
Day 09 - 8th February
Ziro-Itanagar : Itanagar (216km 8hrs) the capital city of Arunachal
is a modern settlement built in the vicinity of the ruin of the 14th century
fort old capital. The archaeological remains of this medieval capital
comprises of two brick wall ramparts. Itanagar has extremely interesting
museum known as Jawaharlal Nehru Museum, time spent here can really acquaint
you with the culture and tradition of this region. All prototype of the
bamboo and cane architecture of dwelling of different tribes and apparel,
design and functional tools and others handicrafts are display here.
Overnight Donyi Polo Ashok, Itanagar.
Day
10 - 9th February
Itanagar-Bomdila: Morning drive to Bomdila (350 km, 9hrs drive).
Enroute visit Tipi Orchidarium, a glass house with over 7500 Orchids.
Overnight Siphiyang Phong Hotel, Bomdila.
Day 11 - 10th February
Bomdila-Tawang: Morning drive to Tawang (190 Km, 7hrs drive).
Tawang, the major center of the Mahayana Buddhists is standing on the spur
of a hill over 12000 ft. above the sea level. On the way to Tawang lies the
world's second highest pass - the Sela Pass (14000 feet) which runs through
a small ridge and along a placid Lake called the Paradise Lake. Overnight
Hotel Buddha or Tourist Lodge, Tawang.
Day
12 - 11th February
Tawang: Full day at Tawang. Overnight at hotel Tawang.
Day 13 - 12th February
Tawang-Bomdila: Morning drive back to Bomdila (190km, 7hrs). Post
lunch Gompas. Overnight Siphiyang Phong Hotel, Bomdila.
Day 14 - 13th February
Bomdila-Tezpur : After breakfast drive to Tezpur (160km 7hrs
drive). Overnight at Hotel Luit, Tezpur.
Day 15 - 14th February
Tezpur-Guwahati-Calcutta/Delhi: Morning transfer to airport for
onward journey. Our service ends here..
